Heritage & Architecture
The Laxmi Niwas Palace was built between 1898 and 1902 for Maharaja Sir Ganga Singh as his royal residence. Designed by British architect Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob in the Indo-Saracenic style, the palace uses pink sandstone from Dulmera quarries. The grounds include marble courtyards, colonnaded corridors of stone lattice work, and canopied balconies with intricate filigree.
Rooms & Accommodations
Each room at the Laxmi Niwas Palace offers private bathrooms, bathrobes, and air conditioning with 24-hour room service. The hotel provides suites with sofas, showers, and fireplaces, while some rooms feature original walnut wood carvings and ceiling murals. The property has family rooms and rooms for guests with limited mobility.
Dining & Entertainment
Three on-site restaurants serve Indian, local traditional, and Rajasthani dishes, with a coffee house and snack bar also available. Guests experience daily traditional Rajasthani puppet shows and folk music performances in the courtyard. A flute player performs a distinctive Rajasthani tune each morning.
